Natural Ultimate Skin Protection Cream contains 25% micro zinc oxide (not nano type) and is an excellent protection cream for skin suffering from dark spots, liver spots, pigmentation, and melasma.
We mainly formulated this cream for the Asian market because their skin tone can accept this high percentage of zinc oxide. Micro Zinc Oxide leaves an instant whitening effect/ look on the skin, an excellent marketing point for the Asian market.
There are two types of ultraviolet rays: UVA (320-400 nm) and UVB (280-320 nm). UVA is responsible for skin darkening and tanning. Protecting the skin from UVA is very important, specifically if it is susceptible to pigmentation.
Many sunscreen ingredients can protect the skin from ultraviolet light. The ingredients are divided into two categories:
- Organic filters: these are classified as chemical sunscreens (and are absorbed into the skin)

Inorganic filters. or mineral filters: these are classified as physical sunscreens (they do NOT get absorbed into the skin)
Inorganic filters or physical sunscreens are limited and include only zinc oxide and titanium dioxide.
It is important to use an Organic sun filter or a physical sunscreen for dark skin types, skin that is susceptible to pigmentation, or as part of skin lightening treatment. Physical sunscreen, such as our Natural Ultimate Skin Protection Cream with 25% Micro Zinc Oxide, will leave a layer on the skin to reflect the UVA away from the skin (the ultraviolet rays that make the skin darker). The 25% micro zinc oxide will offer around 48-50 SPF protection.
