If you have yet to hear of it, this oil is cold-pressed and made from the nuts of Cacao trees. It is a light and dry oil that many people apply to their skin. It is increasingly used as an anti-aging ingredient in many skin care products. This oil has several benefits, including keeping your skin and nails healthy. Read ahead as we discuss these benefits. What is Cacay Oil? This nut oil is derived from the Amazon in Colombia. It has a nutty scent and is made by cold-pressing the nuts of Cacao trees. It also includes phosphorous, iron, potassium, sodium, and thiamine minerals. In addition to this, you will also find riboflavin, carotenes, and ascorbic acid. The oil has up to 85% of linoleic acid content. This is also an omega-6 essential fatty acid that helps the body in its repair mechanism. Further, it contains beneficial Vitamin E compounds. Cacay Oil for Skin Care Cacay nut is considered a superfood for the skin. It is used in many beauty products, and celebrities use it religiously. Here are some of the benefits of using this oil.
- Reduces Signs of Skin Aging: The main ingredient in Cacao nut oil that facilitates this is Vitamin E. It hydrates and nourishes the skin, repairing any damaged areas. In addition, it also contains a high amount of Vitamin A, which is known to aid in skin regeneration.
- Hence, it enhances the skin's elasticity and reduces wrinkles. Cacay nut oil also contains natural retinol.

- Applying it continuously will help these scars fade away. Do note that the scars may not fade completely in each case. However, they will not be noticeable from afar.
- Collagen Stimulation: Collagen makes up one-third of the protein in the human body. It is insoluble and is necessary to hold the body together. Collagen also helps a network of cells called fibroblasts to form. This helps replace dead cells in the body but reduces with age.
- It is the reason wrinkles form on your body. Cacao oil can permeate these layers of the skin and help regenerate collagen, which, yet again, contributes to its anti-aging properties.

Read on to find out all about the Kalahari melon oil and its various health benefits.
History and Origins of Kalahari Melon Oil?
The Kalahari melon oil is extracted from wild watermelon plants that are grown in South African regions. These wild watermelons are generally called the Kalahari melons. They taste very bitter.
Their origins are traced to the Kalahari Desert that is in the north-western region of South Africa. The farmers here witnessed a period of intense drought. While many crops perished, one particular plant continued to flourish and thrive throughout the severe drought.
The surviving plants were the Kalahari melons. With their bitter taste, local communities often overlooked them. However, scientists soon began investigating their properties. On looking beyond their tough skin and unfavorable taste, they found the treasure trove with its seeds!
The seeds of the Kalahari melon were found to possess oils that were unlike the usual watermelon seeds. They soon discovered that the Kalahari melon oil has several benefits and can be used for healthy skin, hair, and nails.
The Kalahari melon is now grown mostly in Botswana and Namibia, in the deeper desert regions. When these wild watermelons harvest, their seeds are collected.
These seeds are then left to dry in the intense African sun.
Once the moisture evaporates, they are pressed, and the rich golden oil is extracted into bottles.

Pequi Oil (Caryocar Brasiliense Fruit Oil)
Pequi oil is acquired through the extraction of it from a seed of a tree, Caryocar brasiliense. It is originally from Brazil, a country in South America. The yellow is of a pale yellow color and can be utilized as cooking oil directly. But there are many other uses, too. Many people in Brazil produce Pequi oil as a means of livelihood. In this article, we will be looking at the origin, constituents, and various uses of Pequi oil. The Origin Of Pequi Oil Pequi oil is extracted from the Caryocar brasiliense seeds in South as well as Central America. There are several other names for the Pequi oil, such as pequierim, pequia, and Pequi rasteiro. The seeds are generally spiny. But a non-spiny species has been discovered, too. The Extraction Of Pequi Oil Pequi oil is extracted using handcrafted techniques. The fruit is peeled manually and boiled inside water. The water is stirred till the Pequi seed oil rises onto the surface of the water. The Pequi oil is then removed using a spoon. Another method of extraction of Pequi oil is that after cooling, the peeled fruit needs to be gotten down to room temperature. It is softened, and after cold water is mixed into it, the oil rises to the top. The Pequi oil can be skimmed with a spoon now. The oil is then dried by the process of heating it and further filtered using a cotton cloth. There is some instability chemically that reduces its shelf life. This is a cold-pressed oil that is not refined. Pequi Oil Composition

Pracaxi Oil (Pentaclethra Macroloba Seed Oil)
There's nothing better than using natural components for cosmetic use and healing remedies. Chemical-free products not only enrich the skin; they also do not degrade the skin on prolonged use. Pracaxi seed oil is also a natural component obtained in Central America known for its excellent therapeutic properties. While it is not quite popular except in its native area, it is abundant in beneficial qualities. So, read on to discover what Pracaxi oil is and how it can be useful to you Source of Pracaxi Seed Oil Pracaxi seed oil is obtained from the Pracaxi tree, native to the dense jungles in tropical Central America. They are found mainly in Nicaragua, Guyanas to Amazonia, and parts of the West Indies. A Pracaxi tree grows in swampy areas around the river and is about 35m high with a diameter of 1.3m. It has a great significance as an excellent nitrogen fixer and can be potentially used to regain forest cover. Its's seeds are also used to produce cooking oil called Owala oil, other than the cosmetic oil. These seeds contain about 27-28% protein, 45-48% carbohydrates, and 45-48% lipids. Even the bark of this Pracaxi tree is an excellent source of tannins. Extraction of Pracaxi Seed Oil Pracaxi seed oil is extracted from the seeds of the tree harvested from February to May. As they are not cultivated, their production is limited to the harvest produced each year. The harvested pods are then dried and boiled, which separates the oil from the rest. The released oil is then collected for use. On an estimate, about 35 Pracaxi fruits are required to produce about a kilo of these almond color seeds. Color and Aromatic Attributes Pracaxi seed oil can be found in light or, at times, a dark shade of dull yellow. Some part of its components attains semi-solid structure at room temperatures that make its consistency thicker. However, these saturated fats can be melted completely on heating to obtain a uniform consistency. The aroma of this oil ranges from mildly nutty to a strong roasted nutty smell. As the Pracaxi seeds are dried before being pressed, the drier ones produce a comparatively more intense aroma. It is the result of a higher concentration of Behenic Acid. While the aroma and color might differ here, the properties of the oil remain the same. Composition of Pracaxi Seed Oil The main component of Pracaxi oil is a mono-unsaturated fatty acid, known as Oleic Acid. Next, there is a considerably fair amount of Behenic Acid, and Lignoceric Acid present too. These form the fatty components called the myelin sheath that covers the nerves. The traces of Palmitic Acid and Lauric Acid present here make this oil a gentle natural surfactant. The composition of these acids in Pracaxi oil is given below:
- Oleic Acid- 44.32%
- Behenic Acid 19.67%
- Lignoceric Acid- 14.61%
- Linoleic Acid- 2.36%
- Palmitic Acid- 2.04%
- Lauric Acid- 1.30%
- Relative Density: 0.920-0.950
- Iodine Value: 105-145 grams of 12/100 gm
- Saponification Value- 185-205
- Peroxide Value: < 5 meq 02/kg
- SAP Multiplier for NaOH: 0.132
- SAP Multiplier for KOH: 0.185
- Skin healing and lightening: This natural healer allows quick regeneration and nourishment to the skin without any skin-exposure to toxins/chemicals. It doesn't just lighten the scar. It also reduces its thickness to a great extent. Pracaxi oil is also used for skin-lightening for evening out the skin-tones. The significant amount of Behenic Acid present in this oil makes it offers a highly effective skin brightening effect.
- Reduces hyperpigmentation: Damaged skin layers due to harsh sun rays can be effectively treated by Pracaxi oil. While it is not the best, it can control melanin's production and thus aids the task. It can treat dark spots and patches that occur during pregnancy or other surgeries/therapies. Also, this is one of the oils recommended to lighten the marks of melasma too.
- Medical benefits: Pracaxi seed oil also has anti-bacterial, anti-septic, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, and anti-oxidant properties, which are yet to be known.

Prickly pear oil becomes a holy grail for facial oils because it suits all types of skin and has diverse uses and benefits. But what do we know about prickly pear and it's oil? What Are Prickly Pears? Prickly pears are commonly known as cactus fruits because they grow on paddle cacti. They are also called Opuntia, Nopal fruit, and Barbary Fig. They are reddish bulbous fruits and have a covering of protective bristles that are prickly, hence the name. They have an amazing water retention quality and absorb high amounts of water in their fleshy insides. The benefits of the prickly pears don't end with its fleshy fruits, but its seeds are used to extract its highly beneficial oil. The seeds only contain 5% of oil, and a heap of them are used to extract enough for topical use. With their remarkable effectiveness, there is a rapid increase in demand for prickly pear oils. Where Do They Come From? They may not have been well-known until recently but are actually a staple in Mexican cuisine. In fact, in Central America, it is used for diabetes as well. They are very common in South America, the Mediterranean, and parts of the Middle East as well. They are native to Morocco, just like the popular argan oils. They are eaten, both raw and dried, and are considered a highly nutritious food in these areas. Benefits of Prickly Pear Oil There are various health and beauty benefits of this oil. The prickly pear oil is not to be confused with essential oil, although it can be paired with them for use. It is a carrier oil and can be used on its own or with a combination of other oils. Mixing it with retinol and vitamin C is a highly effective way of using prickly pear oil. On their own, both vitamin A and C can cause mild irritation, which prickly pear oil can combat with its soothing effect. Prickly pear oil is highly effective for strengthening hair roots and nails. It is also very good for your skin and has anti-aging and anti-inflammatory properties. Prickly Pear Oil for Skin As the fruit is densely packed with moisture and high on water retention, it is one of the best oils for locking in moisture. Prickly pear oil is highly effective on dry and acne-prone skin. It is light-weight and non-comedogenic, which makes it all the more useful. It is also beneficial for combination skin. So, it is perfect for you, no matter what skin type you belong to. It reduces inflammation and aging considerably and is very helpful for those with sun-damaged skin. The oil reduces pigmentation caused by UV rays and evens out the skin tone as well as it contains high levels of Vitamin K and linoleic acid. It also contains the highest percentage of Vitamin E oil- 150% more than argan oil and is full of antioxidants and omega fatty acids. The amino acids in it are highly productive towards keeping skin healthy, elastic, and moisturized. Prickly Pear Oil for Hair Vitamin E is a great oil to nurture your hair roots. It stimulates growth and prevents your scalp from drying out as well. With prickly pear consisting of Vitamin E oil in high amounts, it is inadvertently an amazing addition to your hair care package, too. If what you desire are long luscious tresses, then prickly pear oil can be used with other hair stimulating serums and essential oils. Pairing it with drops of essential oils like lavender essential oil and tea tree oil can be incredibly beneficial. Massaging the mixtures can not only increase blood circulation and strengthen your roots but can also help with your headaches. You can also easily mix a few drops of prickly pear oil with other hair oils like coconut, jojoba, and castor oil. Plus, it is one of the best oils for deep conditioning and handling frizz. Prickly Pear Oil for Nails The benefits of prickly pear oil do not cease with hair and skin but also extend to nails. The oil can moisturize the skin around your nails and cuticles and prevent premature breakage. The damage from nail polish and other products can effectively be countered using the oils from prickly pears. The Goodness of Prickly Pear Oil The prickly pear seed oil has been very evidently effective for dealing with acne. Irritation and discomfort caused by acne is something we are all familiar with, and prickly pear oil can soothe the skin and balance the oil production to prevent them. Since prickly pear seed oil is made from seeds that contain only 5% oil content, it can be quite difficult and expensive to gather it. A large number of seeds and fruits are required to effectively produce enough oil to be marketed. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why it is so expensive. But a few extra bucks is no match for glowing, radiant, and healthy skin. Make sure to buy oils that are refined or cold-pressed. It can be easy to buy the wrong kind of oil that may not be the best in terms of quality and use, so it is crucial to buy from trusted brands. Goodvara Laboratories offers the best and purest bulk natural oils. Facial oils, especially prickly pear oil, can be a safe and healthy way to nourish your skin. The Rosa rubiginosa and Rosa canina are the plants commonly used for rosehip seed oil extraction. These plants are commonly found in European and South African regions. The rosehip fruit is very rich in ascorbic acid, more so than citrus fruits. That is why it was used as a replacement for citruses during World War II. Earlier, Native Americans and Chinese often used rosehip to alleviate stomach pain and indigestion, cramps and stiffness, nausea and infection, common cold, and more. It was also used to prepare herbal teas for their medicinal and therapeutic properties. Though rosehip and its oil come from rose bushes, they do not smell like roses at all. They lack any floral aroma and preserve an earthy and musky scent. Composition of Rosehip Oil: Rosehip is rich in Vitamin C and Beta Carotene, but in the process of cold pressing to attain the oil, a lot of the vitamin c can be lost. It is also a water-soluble vitamin, so one cannot be entirely sure how much of it is retained in the oil. It has an abundance of essential polyunsaturated fatty acids and omega 3 and 6, both of which can be very stimulating to your hair. The linoleic acid form omega 6 also helps towards keeping your skin hydrated and firm. Aside from these, it also contains oleic acid, palmitic acid, phytosterols, anthocyanin, and Vitamin K. Uses and Benefits of Rosehip Oil Rosehip Oil For Face:
