Micellar water comprises micelles (tiny balls of cleansing oil molecules) suspended in soft water. It is based on the fact that micelles are attracted to dirt and oil, so they can draw out impurities without drying out the skin (micelles are very tiny, single-layer fatty molecules that can absorb other fats, such as sebum and oils).

Micellar water looks like water viscosity-wise, but when you put it on your finger, it has a different texture.
It should be used with a cotton ball or pad. Soak the cotton ball or pad with micellar cleansing water, and then apply it to the face in a circular motion to remove all dirt and oil.
